THE FOUNDRY GOLF COURSE
THE PERFECT RETREAT
The Foundry Golf Club is one of Virginia's premiere private golf experiences. Nestled along historic Huguenot Trail among the rolling hills of the Piedmont region of Virginia, the Club offers some of the finest views of the Commonwealth's countryside less than ten miles from Rt. 288 and Rt. 60. A guest house located on the first tee allows members to bring out-of-town guests and to accommodate meetings and corporate retreats. It can accommodate 25-30 guests.
the clubhouse
The Foundry Clubhouse dates back to the 1818 when a contract was obtained with the War Department to build a "manufactory of arms". Granite was quarried on-site and by hand for the three-foot-thick walls of the building. The building was once home to former owner Julien Binford, a famous artist whose work can be seen at many museums, universities, and private collections.
THE COURSE
One of the main draws to the course is the fact that you could play a round of golf and not see another person on the course. The intent for this golf club was that it would be a place with an excellent game of golf.
THE FOUNDRY GOLF CLUB IS A SEPERATE ENTITY FROM THE GREYWALLS COMMUNITY. MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED OR GUARANTEED AS A GREYWALLS RESIDENT. SOCIAL AND GOLF MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE BY CONTACTING THE FOUNDRY GOLF CLUB.
